Subject: Trying to find Hostert!
"Hi there,
I was a pupil at the hostert site in 1990, when it was part of Windsor Upper School (4/5 and 6th form only). It was a creepy old building back then but dead interesting. Lots of places that you wanted to explore but weren't aloud to!
I was wondering what happened to it and when it stopped being a school? Also, I'm trying to find it on Google Earth and so far not succeeding. Can someone direct me from Rheindahlen JHQ? I wish now that I'd paid more attention to the journey on the old white school buses!

Check out the multimap.com. you can find it easy enough. I just cliked on Germany on the map then cliked on M`Gladback then zoomed in. Find Rein`D then followed the L3 up to the crossroads then take a right at the traffic lights then you will find Hostert. The old girl is expecting you...

Google Earth now has a pretty good resolution view of Kent School. If you have trouble finding it email me and I will sent email you back the place mark for it (chris dingles.net)

Found it dead easy on Google earth (thanks Andrew) - but what are the buildings at the back of the school (north of the main block)? I don't remember them, mind you a few brain cells have been killed since I was there.

If they are the ones I think you are talking about, I think one is the Sports hall and the other is the canteen/meals. Not actualy looking at picture right so could be way wrong lol.

By memory the 2 buildings on the right hand side of the main building are the lunch hall with the gymnasium behind it. The ones behind the school are the 6 form rooms and the music rooms ( note, memory not sure bout the music rooms). I also think the big barn is missing from the back playing fields.
