"Wondered if anyone fancied a knees up in November, either because you missed Loohorst or because its nearly Christmas and Loohorst was ages ago. Thinking about Swindon area as it is kind of central in a south westerly kind of way. I'll be in the area that week and quite a few old Kentonians I know are nearby. Phil"

Apologies for lack of info here. I been busy studying and on holiday. Is a Friday night okay for people? I'm looking for a venue which is tricky as I am not in the Swindon area so hopefully Internet will help there. There's a Holiday Inn Express in Swindon centre and at M4 Junction 16. Also a Premier Travel at J16 and a Hilton too . Hopefully more info at the end of next week. Phil (Need to get on with the decorating)

"Right. Our esteemed venue finder (PJ) has found a venue. Goddard Arms Hotel in Swindon old town. Looking for £55 per room at the moment. Better than the platic delights of Holiday Inn I feel. I'll scout about the area for drinking holes nearer the time. http://www.activehotels.com/servlet/xmlbrochure/index.do?hotelid=110230&trkref=BHT&subid=&language=en I'll try to get a discount for a block booking, so can you please let me know if you are interested in staying here. How many sleeps Caz? Phil"

the hotel blurb says that as well as a bar and restaurent there is a nightclub. However as its in Swindon old town there should be pleanty to do if anyone wants to go out. For shopping there is a McAurther Glenn shopping outlet nearby too. Put Steve and I down for a double room Phil. I hope lots of you can make it.

"Goddard Arms sounds just the job.. including nightclub!! What more can we ask for? Been reading the blurb as Janey calls it and looks charming. Although don't expect to have a room in the main hotel.. they have an annex. soooo.. if you can get a reservation for block booking or a code to quote, i'll get onto booking my pillow! Come on Kenties.. lets get this party started. 85 more sleeeeeeeps Phil.. can't wait!! "

If you are coming, could you send a mail to philmcglass at hotmail.co.uk so I can keep tabs and keep you up to date. I plan to book a table somewhere on Friday evening so can you let me know preferrences (pizza, curry, chinese buffet) and a guess at what time you will arrive. I wont be booking rooms for anyone, please do this via website http://www.goddardarmshotel.co.uk/booking/index.html or telephone 01793 692 313. I booked my room this afternoon. I'll try and get away by lunchtime but will need to sort the usual Friday c**p out from the desk first and then hopefully avoid the A34 traffic southbound.
