Hi, I have only just found this website. Wow! so many comments from people who have passed through Kent's Door :) I lived at Wildenrath and travelled to Kent each day. I Would love to hear from anybody who knows me. I was a bit of a twat at times back then(teen years, who wasn't?), but I promise im ok now. lol. If you remember me, please drop me a line.

Does any one remember Nurse Frances Hallahan who worked in Sick bay up to 1980? Have a lovely letter from Hilda Stewart wishing her well in retirement? She died in 1986. I am her niece and have very little info about her.

Left in 76 but went back for a visit in 85 when i was stationed in Belgium with the RAF. Had nice welcome from the Headmaster (cant remember his mane)and tour,lunch with teachers which was novel to say the least!Lots of great memories,used to look forward to going to school there (cant say that about many schools).Real shame to see the state of it now.Remember some names but not many. Anyone remember me then give me a shout.

hi was sad to see the state kent school has gotten too.my brother steven clark also went too school there also.Iwas in tonbrige and played for the house and school football team along with Les Odea reginald akapata and graham newlands.Ialso played football for sv wildenrath and sv1926 arsbeck.we lived at the GSO wildenrath thanks for the memories at kentie and sv arsbeck ANGUS

Just did the one year, but it was it's last in Vikki Harrison's class, tucked away in the corner in a locked corridor that one day became unlocked, and we had to peek. Lots of hospital equipment still laying around.

My name is Fadi Mustapha and I'm a member of the K.S.G. (Kirchen Sicherungs Gesellschaft), a private security company wich secure your old school, the Kent School. I'm a member of the K.S.G. since 2009 and I have to admit that this is the most interested and the most historical place, I've ever seen before! Since 2009 I spent every weekend in Hostert and I sleep with my colleagues in the church (or was it called "Medway"?) Today I've found your Website and it's great. Nice trip down memory lane... Recognise some of the names and happy to see some recent photos of the old place!!
Lived in Erkelenz and remember the "Box" as it was called, must have spent a lot of my spare time hanging around that thing :p
A few names spring to mind such as Scott Mcevoy, Mike Whitelaw, Tiny Fagan, Julie Johannson, Mark Holmes etc... May ring a bell!!

Hiya. I love this site with all the old pics. Brings back many good memories. The best secondary school I ever went to. Started at RAF Laarbruch, dad got promotion, moved to RAF Bruggen. Was friendly with Alison and .... god you know my memory is so crap, but the thing I do remember about her was that she was a talented artist, moving on to art college back in the UK. In 6th form i was the representative of my room and it was just Ali, me and the boys. Loved hearing all the familiar spooky stories. just remembered went on a school trip to the coke cola factiory and son of my mtes got stopped for bring glass coke bottles on to a coach . i use to hang around with mark devling , alistar henderson, jeff cant rember his surname . and year teacher if i rember was mrs weir quite old and looked at you but not though her glasses, dose any body remember the school discos and films held in one of the cellers

wow cant believe i found this site for years ive been trying to find old pals i went to school with here, some of the best times of my life here!! i used to live in birgelen my dad was based in wildenwrath, i used to be friends with mandy wilson (twig) urrm emma someone and candy farthers, and i remember jennifer pigg, someone has got to remember jenny lol. i also hung around with dave green and simon someone sorry my memory is awful. but i do know this at the time our school was amalgamated with windsor in the camp where 1st to 3rd years went, then kent was 4th year and up. MARY SHAW i really think i remember you, i remember you being diabetic. do you remember me? im pretty sure i remember the name kelly fagan too, and julie wilson. oh by the way folks i had ginger hair or auburn as i like to call it. would love to hear from anyone who remembers me and i was a huge madonna fan :)

I have been fascinated with the history of the 'school' I started my secondary eduation at. Thank you to those who have uploaded photos and the story of the school. At the time I had no real idea of what had gone on here. I was aware of it having been a hospital but nothing of what happened before that. I was living in Dusseldorf and then Rheindahlen and used to get the 'tin can' bus from Chatham and Deal houses every day. Fond memories of the place and more than a tinge of sadness at seeing some of the photos of the place taken quite recently.

Went to Kent round about 80 through 83. Memories for me; couldn't wait till the third year to get the black tie with white horses (sad I know). Being scared of my RE teacher (can't remember his name - small, strict chap with beard) My form teacher, mr jones who was also my science teacher. Burning all my hair in a bunsen burner/fringe interface (we used to have them on in winter to keep the science room warm). An old chap for PE who loved rugby (i didn't) and him making us play the game in the snow. Running round the school ground countless times (one of those sponsered run things) in a vain attempt to win a pencil case and getting my name read out in assembly more times than I care to mention for detention.

I went to Kent in 81 to 84. I was in Nick Casons class. I saw Jez James name up there. I new him from Coltishall as well stayed a few doors down from him there. I used to hang around with John (Jock) Hughes. I still keep in tuch with him, he is married and got a young boy. The other people I remeber are Peter (Potter) Roadnight, Paul Livit, Silvia Endeen, Sharon Patterson, Jullie Lambert. I stayed in Erklenze. The people I remeber are Gerard Bergwin, Nia, Gordon and Clifford Evans, Shamas and Katheline Flanegan, Simon and Clare Blocksom. My older sister was Angie brother Simon and Younger sister Leah anyone rember us.

Amazing to plough through all the folks from way back when! I used to hang out in the Library and help Mrs Grafton along with about 5 others - tidying up and I was the instigator of the Snoopy cartoons we used to give out to whoever wanted them! Remember Miss Burgess as I was doing the secretarial course. Also knew Chris Olney who taught English with Suzie Sparkes. I'm on the photo on Friends Reunited about third from the end. Great days!!
