You're right there Graham. That was a nick which followed me for quite some time. I see you joined 3 C then I was still around at the time. I left for Catterick in that last year. You could well fill in the names of our class which I have forgotten? School Photos. Would be great. I remember the 100 yards competition I won but was not satisfied with my performance. You may remember Ernest Martinez was in the Canterbury Athletics Team too. Feel free to drop a line.

I taught chemistry and physics and worked initially at Deal House and then later at Chatham with my wife, Jackie until the birth in 1978 of our first daughter, Bronwen . I have been browsing the site and have seen several names I remember; Sue CHEETHAM you used to run the tuckshop at Chatham with me), Debbie SMITH (I'm sure I taught you chemistry), Jan van der BERG (I'm sure I taught you chemistry also), Susan BICKLEY (you were in Chatham and I taught you chemistry), Tracey LAHIFF (I remember you being in my form in Maidstone House), Tony FEEHAN (I recall you from working in Deal and was saddened to hear of your brother's early death), Sue BOWDEN (I recall your staying in Chatham for the U6 and I seem to remember that you were a friend of Susan REID'S, who did A level chemistry with me). There are many more names that fit the time period but I can not put faces to them. I am regularly in touch with Terry McNulty who has often written on the site and we regularly have conversation about the old school, both its pupils and staff. It is good to read of all your news; time has certainly moved on. Best wishes to you all.

I made a mistake with the dates - well it was a long time ago and I went to so many schools!
As I said below, I would love to contact Mr Lovegrove German Teacher and Sheila McBirnie, originally from Fraserburgh. I would really like to hear from anyone who was there at the same time as me and remembers me. Perhaps jog a few memories for me.
I remember being in the ham radio club and doing domestic science with one other pupil while everyone else was making their subject choices for the following year; I was leaving to go to another school.

I'm still amazed what modern technology has achieved, since we all went to Kent Skool ! It’s just fantastic to find this site, brings back some wonderful memories of my best Skool ! I lived in Dusseldorf ( Ranke Strasse )71 - 75 I arrived at Kent School in 72, my Sister Wendy 71 -75. It’s all a bit hazy but here goes; Teachers-Mr Gilpin, Mr Evans. Students I remember-Mike Hudson ( The Kung Fu Kid ), Simon & Adam Cleary, Alf & Caroline Levitt, Tim Cookson, Debbie LeCarpentier ( so beautiful ! ) Jackie Fraser ( Fraserborough ), Megan, Angie Phelps, Sian davies, James McAvoy, Graham & Brian Newlands, Iain Braid & his Sister ( no relation ), Stuart Beadle ( Taikwondo ), Angela Keddy ( Krefeld ), Mark Brown, Mike & Christine King, Debbie & Sue Evans, Mark/Steve Lowe, Carol Ramsey, Julie Ramsbottom, The Crawford Sisters, Cheryl Wilcox, . . . . . .Thistlethwaite/Postlethwaite (in my class ), Roland Middleton.( Sorry if I missed anyone else out ) I wasn’t the best student in the Skool ! I loved the Skool lunchtime disco, the huge sports fields in the summer ( where we would all have a ciggy in the top right hand corner ) & the music & fashion in the 70’s was awesome ! i would like to hear from anyone that can remember me from kent school,i lived in ratheim,the local camp that we used was birgelin barracks which we used the swimming pool youth club etc etc.my best mate was brett howe who i am in contact with,we used to hang around in school together with lynne cooke,carlie or michaela,and one or two other people whos names escape me.i was in tonbridge house and i had two brothers philip &malcolm who sadly both have died.if i remember rightly mr ions was the headmaster and i would like to hear from his son who i think was called john or johnathon we both did the pe exam together anybody that can remember me can leave a message on this site or use my wifes facebook page under angelina parker

started in 1TP under Miss Pope who died thru brain haemorrhage during summer of'76. Then 2TP and finally 3DE (Mr Evans). I was known for always getting close to achieving a Merit Mark Certificate - finally did (and still have it LOL). I loved the school but the cellars scared the crap out of me and my friends at the time. Now disabled from serving over 10 years in Army. Can find me on fb.
